Olivia is very passionate about the use of emerging technologies in the classroom to help embed ICT throughout the curriculum. Over the last 20 years she has developed a very high level of skill using various elements of ICT with a recent focus on Glow. Using her in depth experience Olivia can very quickly see the impact that using IT has had in her classroom.

Olivia prides herself in sharing knowledge and skills to help colleagues become more confident in the use of ICT within their own classrooms, analysing and highlighting their skill needs very quickly. Olivia provides training to colleagues in any local authority in Scotland and has proven to be adaptable in defining the needs and training needed.

CPD is at the heart of a teacher’s development and Olivias continual quest to help others improve has led her to present at several TeachMeets and resulted in her organising the TeachMeet event at the Scottish Learning Festival in 2011.

Having worked with Curriculum for Excellence for several years Olivia has an extremely good understanding and experience in delivering across different curricular areas. She regards herself as a lifelong learner and keeps up to date with current learning developments through several ways including the Education Scotland website, Journey to Excellence, Engage for Education, other educationalists blogs, TES and Twitter.

Currently Olivia on secondment at RM Education involved in staff training and development using Glow, the online community for Scottish schools.


Steven Wexelstein

Steven is a creative technology professional, with a strong inclination to explore the most innovative fields of digital media and technology, particularly those related to cloud services and application development.

Born in Dunfermline in 1973, Steven has been building his technology and business skills since his childhood, fascinated by the infinite possibilities and sense of freedom which he could find in creating software solutions to solve real world problems. This lifetime passion has guided him through his studies and his career, always aimed at the production of solutions designed to introduce innovative features and approaches to existing technologies.

Steven is a proven senior software development professional who has extensive proven knowledge and experience in delivering high value software projects within challenging start-up companies and large blue chip organisations by forming and running efficient and productive teams of people to deliver to their maximum abillity.

Steven is currently CTO of Open Ear Music Ltd an award winning music design and consultancy service based in Glasgow. Open Ear have developed and operate a cloud based music distribution platform which provides business users with a way of connecting directly with their audience through music discovery.

Steven is also currently Founder and COO of Planys Digital a company redefining the way that social responsibility is delivered through application and cloud development based services. Providing a way for projects to be delivered more cost effectively while maintaining a high quality of execution for a large variety of different clients.

Prior to this Steven was CTO and Founder of Zendit. Zendit provide a cloud-based application platform that was uniquely architected to use events, personal data and APIs to create social products and services. As CTO, Steven directed the company’s platform strategy and was responsible for product architecture, implementation, and operations.

Steven was part of the senior management team at Vianet during an acquisition with Brulines Ltd in 2009. He played a key role in both the due diligence process and later business integration process involving careful management of key people, products and skills, identifying the value points and providing a way of transferring these into the new organisation smoothly.

Steven has also worked in varying technical capacities at companies such as Bank of Ireland, Broadcom Eireann Research, Intelligent Finance, i-play (Digital Bridges).

Steven is also a Non Executive Director of Carnegie College and Director of Carnegie Enterprise Ltd a commercially focussed wholly owned subsidiary of the college.
